The playoffs for teams from the ABC Motsepe League will start today Tuesday 14 June 2022 at the University of The NorthWest, Potchefstroom. The Patrice Motsepe Foundation has funded the ABC Motsepe League since 2014 and by the end of this week a ninth pair of clubs from South Africa's amateur ranks will be promoted to the GladAfrcia Championship for next season.
The tournament consists of the nine provincial ABC Motsepe League winners who are separated into three groups of three teams each where each team will play each other in the a mini league format. The winner of each group plus the overall best second placed team will advance to Friday's semifinals. The winners of thee semifinals will contest the final on Sunday with both sides already having earned their place in the professional ranks of the GladAfrica Championship.
