TS GALAXY COACH VUSI MKHATSHWA FIRST TO FALL

TS GALAXY FC has relieved Vusi Mkhatshwa of his duties as the Head Coach of the Club.  This announcement comes after the 0 - 1 defeat against TTM FC left the Mpumalanga club without a win after three Rounds of the 2018/19 season. TS Galaxy have played to two draws and a loss so far and find themselves in 13th place on the log. The club announced that further details regarding the new Head Coach and way forward would be made available in due course. The Club also took the opportunity to thank Mr.

AJAX CAPE TOWN v STELLENBOSCH FC

A Cape derby to start the weekend sees Ajax CT play Stellenbosch FC for just the third time and the first time since Ajax did the double over the then Vasco da Gama in the 2010/11 season. Ajax are unbeaten with a win and a draw this season and are in third place on the log, while their opponent on Saturday are 7th on the log with a win and a loss.

WITBANK SPURS 1 MACCABI FC 1

Spurs and Maccabi remained unbeaten after their first ever meeting in the NFD on Saturday in Witbank. The ABC Motsepe League Champions came into the match as logleaders and picked up their first away point of the season. Both sides drop one place on the log, with Spurs down to 6th, while Maccabi are 2nd behind Richards Bay FC.

WITBANK SPURS v MACCABI FC

Two unbeaten sides meet for the first time in the NFD on Saturday in Witbank as Spurs take on ABC Motsepe League Champions and logleaders Maccabi FC in the Johannesburg sides’ first match on the road this season. Spurs beat Real Kings last week in KZN and will be hoping that home-ground advantage will make it two wins in a row. Maccabi beat TS Sporting 3 – 1 in their NFD debut and will test themselves against a side that finished 5th last season.

Witbank Spurs got their season off to a winning start on Saturday and extended their unbeaten record against the KZN side to 5 matches. Goalkeeper Zwane scored the only goal of the match just after halftime. Spurs will be hoping to do even better than their start to last season, where they went 6 matches unbeaten. Spurs are 5th on the log, the same pace in which they finished last season, while Kings are in 13th.

MHLONGO TO COACH TS SPORTING

TS Sporting Football Club announced the arrival of Benson Mhlongo as their new head coach. The former Ass. Coach of Orlando Pirates will resume his duties with immediate effect.

TS Sporting FC Chairman Slungu Thobela took the opportunity to welcome Benson by saying “we will make sure that you have all the resources that you need to succeed”.
