NFD 2017/18 - WEEK 08 PREVIEW

MTHATHA BUCKS v CT ALL STARS

After successive defeats and a slip down to 7th on the table, Bucks need to get their season back on track come Saturday. And there’s a good chance that it could happen because Bucks have won all 3 home matches in the past over the Cape club and have not conceded a goal to All Stars at home either. New All Stars coach Vladislav Heric is an experienced campaigner and will look to cause more problems for their hosts.

TSHAKHUMA TSHA MADZIHANDILA v STELLENBOSCH FC

NFD 2017/18 - WEEK 07 WRAP

CT ALL STARS 1 JOMO COSMOS 0

All Stars scored in the opening 11 minutes, had a player sent off one minute later had a second player red-carded in the second half and still held on to beat Cosmos on Friday. It’s not as if the visitors didn’t have chances. Three opportunities hit the woodwork in the first half and the Vosloorus based side must wondering what it will take to beat All Stars with the Cape side having won the last two meetings between the two sides. All Stars climb to 4th while Cosmos drop to 10th.

NFD 2017/18 - WEEK 07 PREVIEW

CT ALL STARS vs JOMO COSMOS

Jomo Cosmos will be sure to pack the correct kit as well as the player ID cards for this encounter on Friday, remembering the 3 points and 3-0 scoreline they gifted the Cape club last season. It was a result that ended any real chance of Cosmos fighting for the NFD title. The two clubs are level on 8 points and have met on 5 occasions. The only win for All Stars coming by way of a DC decision in that ill-fated match for Cosmos.

NFD 2017/18 - WEEK 6 WRAP

CT ALL STARS 0 BLACK LEOPARDS 0

The struggles for both All Stars and Leopards continued as they played to a goalless draw on Friday. After winning their opening two matches, All Stars have only picked up two points in their next four outings. The story is more serious for Leopards who won in Round 1, with three draws and two losses since. All Stars still have never lost to Leopards at home.

Spurs have also drawn 3 of their 4 matches so far this season. The sides are level on points this season and still unbeaten.

CT ALL STARS 1 RICHARDS BAY FC 0

CT All Stars went joint top of the NFD standings after winning their second match of the season and are one of only two sides to go 2 for 2 this season – the other being Highlands Park. It hasn’t been a great start for the former Thanda, as they have yet to pick up a win as yet. The Cape side made it 3 wins in a row against Richards Bay FC (Thanda) after winning with identical scorelines in both 2015/16 & 2016/17 at home against the men from Richards Bay.
