CT ALL STARS 0 FC CAPE TOWN 0

CT All Stars maintained their unbeaten record when they drew with city rivals FC Cape Town in a Cape derby on Friday. Patrick Mabedi’s side have not conceded a goal this year and have consolidated 11th place on the log. FC CT won their first match of the year, but have yet to win in their next 4 outings. All Stars have never lost at home to FC CT.

WITBANK SPURS 2 JOMO COSMOS 2

Two losses and three draws in 2017 has seen homeside Spurs stay in the bottom half of the table and now five points away from a Playoff position. Points for Cosmos have also been hard to come by on the road, with the Potchefstroom based outfit registering 1 win and 3 draws all season. They are however 5th on the log, only two points shy of a place in the post season.

STELLENBOSCH FC 2 BLACK LEOPARDS 1

Stellenbosch FC ended the 4 match winning streak in 2017 for visiting Leopards on Saturday and maintained their unbeaten start to the new year, leaping from 7th to 4th in the process. Leopards see their 4 point cushion back to Eagles in 3rd shrink to just one point and the gap to logleaders Thanda increase to 8.

ROYAL EAGLES 4 SANTOS FC 1

Santos dropped to the bottom of the table for the third time this season after taking a pounding against title chasing Eagles on Saturday. Eagles have hardly been consistent this year, but with the teams around them dropping points too, the KZN side have closed to gap to second placed Leopards to just one point. Santos have yet to win on the road this season, and are now 5 points behind 14th placed Milano United.

MBOMBELA UNITED FC 0 AMAZULU FC 1

Successive home losses have seen Mbombela drop two places to 12th on the log at the two/thirds mark. The Mpumalanga based side contested the Playoffs last season, but a repeat of that situation appears a long way off. The win in Kanyamazane is the first for Amazulu all year and propels the KZN side up to 6th just three point away from challenging for the post season.

MAGESI FC 1 MILANO UNITED FC 0

While Magesi will stay in the relegation zone for another two weeks at least – 16 in total this season, their 1st ever win over Milano has closed the gap to the 14th placed Cape side to just 4 points. The victory for the Limpopo side is their first since last November last year.

REAL KINGS 3 UNIVERSITY of PRETORIA 2

Real Kings upset the unbeaten start to 2017 for visiting Tuks, while grabbing their second win of the year. Tuks became another side to feel the pressure of challenging for honours along with Cosmos, Leopards and Thanda. The win for the KZN side takes them into the top 10 for the first time since late November last year.

THANDA ROYAL ZULU 1 MTHATHA BUCKS 1

Logleaders Thanda have dropped 9 points in their last four matches, but with most of their nearest rivals shedding points in Round 20, the KZN side have actually managed to extend their lead over the chasing pack to 8 points. Bucks scored first when Mncube poached his 11th of the season, but the home side fought back and equalized just after halftime though Cele whose tally climbs to 15.
