REAL KINGS 1 TS GALAXY 1

Real Kings remained in the bottom two after their draw on Saturday with TS Galaxy. The Mpumalanga club are 13th on the log with both sides yet to win this season. The home side opened the scoring 10 minutes before halftime when Mtshali scored his 1st of the season, but the visitors fought back in the second half when Mbamba netted the equalizer just before the hour mark. This was the first meeting between the two sides.

UNIVERSITY of PRETORIA 0 ROYAL EAGLES 1

Tuks lost their unbeaten record this season when a lapse of concentration 4 minutes into second half stoppage time allowed Philani Cele to poach the winning goal and the first win of the season for Roger Sikhakane’s side. Credit must be given to the never-say-die attitude of the visitors. The win for Eagles lifts the KZN side to 12th, while Tuks slip to 6th on the log.

MBOMBELA UNITED FC 0 TS SPORTING 0

The Mpumalanga derby ended in a stalemate at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday afternoon in a first ever meeting of the two provincial rivals in the pro ranks leaving the home side unbeaten this season and 3rd on the log, while TS Sporting are in 7th position after five rounds.  This was the first meeting between the two sides.

AJAX CAPE TOWN 2 MACCABI FC 1

Ajax CT got back to winning ways on Saturday after their loss to TS Sporting last week when they edged the ABC Motsepe League champions - Maccabi FC. The side from Gauteng shocked the home fans in just the 7th minutes when Senwamadi put the visitors in front. However, Ajax soon found their rhythm with debut goals from Bedi and Mukumela either side of halftime steering the former PSL side home to 3 points and 3rd on the log. Maccabi have slipped from first to 11th in five weeks. This was the first meeting between the two sides.

UTHONGATHI FC 2 WITBANK SPURS 0

Uthongathi FC honored the tragic passing of their chairman, Mr Mkhize in the most appropriate way when they beat visiting Spurs with a Vilane brace on Sunday. This comes after the striker had bagged a hattrick against Ubuntu in Round 3. The loss for Spurs is their 3rd in a row and sees the Witbank side drop to just outside the relegation zone.

TSHAKHUMA TSHA MADZIVHANDILA 1 CAPE UMOYA UNITED 0

Sello Chokoe’s logleaders saw off the challenge of former Platinum stars on Sunday in Thohoyandou to retain their top spot on the log overnight. The Limpopo side also remain unbeaten this season. The loss for Cape Umoya is their first of the season, and sees the Cape side drop to 10th on the log. The only goal of the match was scored by Edward Manqele who poached his 2nd of the season. This was the first meeting between the two sides.

JOMO COSMOS 1 RICHARDS BAY FC 0

Cosmos recorded their second win in a row on Sunday and their first at home this season, to climb to 5th on the log after a slow start to the campaign. Ohizu nabbed his first goal on debut for Cosmos. The loss for visiting Richards Bay FC is their second in a row and drops the coastal side to 8th on the log.

UBUNTU CT FC 1 STELLENBOSCH FC 2

Stellenbosch FC won the Cape derby on Tuesday at the Cape Town Stadium to leave Ubuntu at the bottom of the log. Stellies climb to 9th with their second win of the campaign. With the neither side scoring in the first half, it was Stellenbosch FC’s Du Preez who opened the scoring 17 minutes in the second half. Seven minutes later and Ubuntu were level when Serfontein found the equalizer. But it wasn’t to be for the home side and as the Stellies captain Jarrod Moroole struck the winning goal with quarter of an hour remaining.

UTHONGATHI FC 3 REAL KING 0

The rescheduled match that was postponed because of the unfortunate passing of the Uthongathi Chairman Mr Mkhize, took the home side to the top of the table on goal difference over TTM FC after another fabulous performance in the KZN derby. A brace from Ngema was complimented by the 6th goal of the season by teammate Vilane who is by far the NFD’s leading scorer so far this season. The loss for Kings sees Simo Dladla’s team drop to the bottom of the log.
