REAL KINGS v TS GALAXY
Both Real Kings and TS Galaxy will be hoping to earn their first wins of the season when they meet for the first time at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday. Kings will play two matches in 5 days with their postponed match against Uthongathi rescheduled for Wednesday. It does provide the KZN side with a chance to escape from the bottom of the log. Coach Malesela will be hoping for points too, with the former Chippa coach being disappointed with the performance of his new team last week against Ubuntu.
UNIVERSITY of PRETORIA v ROYAL EAGLES
Unbeaten Tuks return to playing at home after successive victorious matches on the road. The recent results see Tuks level at the top of the log with TTM FC and Mbombela United. Visiting Royal Eagles are without a win this season and will be desperate to get away from 14th on the log. The sides have met seven times in league and cup with each team winning 3 times and playing to one draw.
MBOMBELA UNITED FC v TS SPORTING
The Mpumalanga derby will be played at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday afternoon in a first ever meeting of the two provincial rivals in the pro ranks. Mbombela are one of five sides still unbeaten this season and are joint top of the log with 8 points. They face a TS Sporting side who are unbeaten in their last three outings and fresh from a 1 – 0 win over former PSL outfit Ajax CT.
AJAX CAPE TOWN v MACCABI FC
Ajax CT will want to get back to winning ways after their loss to TS Sporting last week. They face wounded ABC Motsepe League champions Maccabi who after winning their opening match in the pro ranks have slipped to a draw and consecutive losses. This will be the first meeting between the two sides.
UTHONGATHI FC v WITBANK SPURS
After the tragic passing of their chairman, Uthongathi will be back in action this weekend with two matches in five days. The meeting with Spurs on Sunday will be followed by the rescheduled fixture against Real Kings on Wednesday. The side from Witbank will want to turn their form around after playing to a draw and suffering successive losses over the past three weeks. Last season both the teams won at home.
TSHAKHUMA TSHA MADZIVHANDILA v CAPE UMOYA UNITED
Sello Chokoe’s logleaders face the challenge of former Platinum stars on Sunday when the teams meet in Thohoyandou. The Cape side come into this encounter fresh from winning their first match in the NFD after beating Richards Bay 1 – 0 last week. TTM FC are one of 5 sides yet to be defeated this season and will no doubt want to preserve that record in front of their home fans. This will be the first meeting between the two sides.
JOMO COSMOS v RICHARDS BAY FC
Cosmos will be confident of a good result against Richards Bay FC on Sunday after picking up their first win of the season on the road against Maccabi FC last week. The visiting side lost for the first time last week, when they went down to Cape Umoya in the Mother City. Last season Cosmos did the double over Richards Bay FC and first home victory would be most welcome.
UBUNTU CT FC v STELLENBOSCH FC
The Cape derby will match two struggling Cape sides on Tuesday at the Cape Town Stadium. Ubuntu picked up their first point of the season after playing to a 1 – 1 draw away at TS Galaxy last week, but remain second from bottom. Meanwhile Stellenbosch FC haven’t tasted victory since round 1 and have slid gradually down the table to 12th spot. Stellenbosch FC won this fixture 2 – 1 last season.
UTHONGATHI FC v REAL KING
The rescheduled match that was postponed because of the unfortunate passing of the Uthongathi Chairman Mr Mkhize, will take place on Wednesday at the Princess Magog Stadium. Both sides would be playing their second match within 5 days. Last season Uthongathi FC won this fixture 2 – 0 with a brace from Mnguni.
